Is there a universal music playlist protocol that can be done in plain text and imported into a wide variety of music apps? (I doubt it but if anyone knows they’d be on here)

Remember that planet with a ring system much bigger than itself? J1407b I think. Only, it's unclear if the renderings of it that came out when it was first discovered really do describe it well?

What I need to know is if such a thing *could* exist. Or was this idea just silly?

Have we ever detected a planet with this issue? Don't planets tend to develop rings ...not a debris field?

Ugh... I remember that one. I didn't enjoy it much, though the first few chapters were good. Then it went... sideways and worse.

Trump has made this kind of claim multiple times. It is not a joke, he either thinks this happens or thinks he can convince people it happens.

How do you even respond to such nonsense?

Just one example of the kind of steaming whoppers that are typical of Trump's rhetoric. Calling everyone he dislikes a communist happens so often it's hardly worth mentioning. He claims that he won an election he lost, that the nation is going to hell, that "migrant crime" has us all cowering in our homes.

I find myself agreeing with those who say there isn't much to be gained from a "debate" --you can't debate the counterfactual.

I don't plan on watching the debate. I will likely read transcripts and look at some clips. I'm curious what sort of people *will* be watching? In theory "the American people" will tune in to get to know Harris better and see what Trump does. It's supposed to be a big event but is anyone really looking forward to it?

Sadly I think what will matter most is that Harris never look 'rattled' that she projects total confidence and calm.

One of the strangest features of the far right in America is the strange glamorization and fear/suspicion they have for institutions such as the FBI, CIA, US Military (especially “intelligence”) and any Police.

Their most popular conmen are ex-members of these organizations or pretenders. At minimum they appropriate the aesthetic of such men: the buzz cuts and dog tags, the tactical gear…

But, do they love and revere these organizations? Absolutely not! They are jealous outsiders, wannabes!

Nature abhors a monoculture.

Right wing media have been whimpering about Harris having a "southern accent" (a Black accent) "her mom is from India why is she talking like that?"

...

Do they think that accents are transmitted through blood? (on second thought, don't want to know the answer to that one) They really think they have something, but it just makes her more relatable.

Personally? I mostly notice how Californian she sounds.

I realize we have all been shaken by the recent revelations about the pro-cat (world domination) influencers who have been recently exposed. I have been approached by such people many times and always turned her down. She is loud, persistent and makes very tempting offers. She can even be cute in a pinch which is very manipulative. Stay alert everyone.

The way people from the UK call sweatshirts, long sleeved tops and sweaters "jumpers" and I always get disappointed when it's not more like a onesie or a baggy unitard.

All the headlines are like "Man restrained at Johnstown Trump rally..." some even have a tone of it being another attempt on his life from the evil evil left.

It should be "Trump incites violence against the press at rally, calls attacker 'beautiful'"

In Johnstown PA one of Trump's fans was overcome with anger after Trump disparaged the press and attacked them. He was quickly restrained by security. As he was hauled away Trump told the crowd "don't worry he's one of us" (so the guy wouldn't be beat up as a protestor might be)

No apology to the press. LOL. He continued his oh so touching story about a how two US flags flapped in the wind and lo they looked like the wings of an angel!

I didn't make this up. I swear.

It must be comforting to Trump to see that he has people on the verge of violent action.

I expect he would have liked it more if more of his people had been stirred to act. To strike out at the press.

And the press isn't really talking about it? Because they need "access" to this enjoyable activity where an old man talks about flags becoming angels thinking getting his ear nicked was an act of God... where they get attacked and that same man calls it "beautiful"

OK... hear me out... a standard rice cooker... BUT when it's done and it plays the little "rice is ready" tune it also has a feature so when you open the lid it emits a golden light and angelic voices sing "AH! AH!" like it's a treasure chest.

Don't judge too quickly.
