I find reality tv shows repugnant and shallow. I cringe every time a commercial comes on for one. You can almost feel intelligence being drained just by exposure to them.

I understand the disdain for the "I had to endure so why shouldn't others" outlook but tonight I considered a new piece of the picture. Those that haven't endured hardship tend to have less empathy. Damn double-edged swords.
