@SuperDicq it I general is just stupid at best. i do agree with the idea of refusing excessive JavaScript bloat (ironic considering i work with Next) to run a website. but just being fully against JS is something I’ll never understand.

one argument I’ve read/heard is the calculations stuff without ‘consent’ or that they want to prevent tracking or whatever. But I’ve literally had some people email me about like 2 JavaScript functions to make my static site work better saying i shouldn’t use it to the point i made a noscript banner calling them a bitch

@SuperDicq its all about compromises. i dont think in the next 100 years normies will take matrix or xmpp seriously. unless there is some big company that advertises some new slop software that uses either under the hood.

ive tried getting some friends to use matrix but most people tend to stick where others are. best i got to work was a bridge from matrix - discord channel. a ton of hoops.

fun fact; some /tttt/ posts I've seen we're made by me or a bunch of "friends" so its sometimes really funny seeing a post from a bunch of years ago and recognising yourself. but yeah, horrible place, caused me a ton of anguish.

@SuperDicq actually there's some good news! last Friday my clinic called me and basically said I'm scheduled the coming Tuesday to have a consult. I've been waiting for two years in queue and I finally got off it. but I will need to probably prove my transness to a billion psychologists before they'll consider hondosing me
