@SuperDicq how considerate!! sounds like a good time to be honest, wishing it all works out well for u.
I've been wanting to visit some overseas friends but unfortunately cant because id be arrested for smuggling drugs (god bless dutch transgender healthcare).
but doing stuff with friends is always tons of fun. for example; coming friday 20th my virtual mother and her fiancee will arrive in Amsterdam so ill prob work that week's wednessday so I can plan my Friday free. we're probably going to visit some nice places and museums because they are brits that don't know dutch culture (and I assume they arent gonna find culture in Amsterdam but that's my opinion XD)
@SuperDicq i mean if that makes u happy fuck everyone who thinks that's cringey. my older brother wants to go to japan someday in the future, he doesn't even know what anime is, he just likes the scenery. and fo course he wants me to go with him because I speak Japanese to an extend. :kusa:
but pls don't spend all your server monkey on hatsune miku plinko machines xD
@SuperDicq you have your priorities straight haha :raveSmug: I still think it sounds funny that in today's day and age, you can still say that your stuff just fails.
@SuperDicq putting boot and root on the same disk has always seemed risky to me. also I hate the fact that the nvme slot doesn't work with msata or whatever that b+m key thing is called.
specs are decent as well when it comes to a homelab computer. so yeah might just give it a shot. i hoard a ton of domains I can use for like you wouldn't believe. i have 20 unused domains.
@SuperDicq i have an optiplex 3050 collecting dust in my room. its an sff one so its gonna be meh when it comes to actual upgradability because god bless proprietary DELL.
ill prob buy a 128gb nvme for boot and put a 4tb drive for root. but even then, I don't have a consistent location to put it. but yeah I guess until the house is sold I got a solid place for it. i just never get myself to buy an nvme.
but lets say I actually have a small labPC to mess around with. id rather rely on well established hosts for decentralised platforms :thinkhappy:
i am way too serverless-brained to host my own instance. i most likely will use on of my many domains I've been hoarding. and when i finally decide to host an instance, it would be somewhere i can reach. i don't trust vps with that.
