There are so many bad internet bills that it's hard to keep track of them all. @team has compiled all of them on one page. Take action on all of them here: https://badinternetbills.com
@inthehands "there are billions whose identity revolves around, for instance, holding some banal views about television shows, sophomoric and shallow opinions about politics and philosophy, the ability to write pedestrian essays, do slow, error-prone arithmetic, write buggy code, and perhaps most importantly, agonize endlessly about relationships with each other, creating our heavens and hells of mutualism." https://studio.ribbonfarm.com/p/text-is-all-you-need
@vaurora There's no process of getting more then 3 readers that takes 0 non-writing time. There's a vast spectrum between 0 time and "running a 2nd business".
@vaurora I'll focus on the book-author. I'd self-publish on Amazon/KDP. I'd start by charging $3.99 or $4.99 for the book, something appropriate for the print-on-demand. I'd email all my friends to tell them about it, including the link. (I'd ask them to post a review if they buy.)
@vaurora For a little more work.... I'd buy a domain from wordpress, and create a 2-3-page website - home, bio, book. I'd post on my social network of choice. I'd email people who had reviewed books "similar" to mine (whether on paid sites or blogs) to let them know about the book.
@vaurora if you can live off your non-writing job, then you can self-publish online to your heart's content. Without adding the "business" or "parasocial" burdens.
