@randahl bluesky is beating Mastodon... The Mastodon users interface is not user friendly and I won't blame Mastodon... Mastodon has no revenue model and no money to spend on features..

@randahl @ivory Bluesky is attracting more users than Mastodon. Mastodon faces scaling challenges, has no full-time employees, lacks regular updates and new features, and doesn’t have a revenue model. As a result, Mastodon struggles to compete with X or Threads, leaving Bluesky as the likely contender. 😎

@ikuturso I have both Mastodon and bluesky accounts.. i had an x account... Bluesky feels like more twitter and simplistic users interface.. they have big plans and goals for the future .. I don't know about Mastodon...I recently joined Mastodon..no revenue generation is a big negative for Mastodon...

@Gargron Mastodon has potential, but it needs to make a few changes. Its user interface should be simpler and more similar to Twitter, making it more user-friendly. I don't like the star symbols for likes; they should be changed to a heart ❤️ or a thumbs-up 👍. Mastodon should aim to replicate Twitter's look in some aspects.. While keeping it underlying decentralised technology intact..

@Gargron If the mastodon wants to compete with X and bluesky...you guys have to make the interface more users friendly.
