@lanodan @quad @eal careful with week numbers! some programs just say "week number" without specifying whether it's the US one or the EU/ISO one. Sometimes it's locale-specific, sometimes it's hard-coded.

In gnome-shell, I had to look at the JS code to figure out how the number was grokked. (always ISO, even on an en_US locale IIRC)

@Julianoe @temptoetiam ils ne le feront pas, ça n'est pas du tout dans leurs habitudes. Il suffit de regarder le centre du pays qui est traversé par les tornades, ils reconstruisent à l'identique derrière.

Éventuellement, ils surélèvent les constructions nouvelles quand il s'agit d'inondation (cf Katrina en 2005). Mais c'est tout.

@naturzukunft @evan "conference-based programming" is a phrase I heard from ajax/Adam Jackson (of XFree86/Xorg fame). Basically one submits abstracts to conferences, which are then accepted and ... now the work has to be done! Can't back out!
