As this thing we are living can't be explained with words or thoughts or even mathematical rules. Most science of today in 200 years, will be seen as funny and laughed about, and so on perpetually. A scientist explained this. It's very strange everything. Too strange to fathom. So I definitely think it's best to just make your own ideas about the nature of it all. Because nobody can give a answer anyway -

Ultimately not knowing when to fold can lead to a nuclear exchange. A example the principles of a drug dealer is to kill anyone threatening his business. And the principles of the police is maintaining order to protect the government and institutions. Some people have no principles at all. Same with nations, the principles of the Soviet union was different from US. If they had escalated and not known to fold we would all be dead. @arcana besides what you mentioned about it being about principle can get you not only to lose a lot of money but many times following principles will get you killed with the wrong people. Like in poker you have to know when to fold also in life. It’s not like in this case losing money he probably could afford to lose, but a matter of life and death knowing when to fold -

African Amazon driver delivering my products, was very polite and seemed to have good manners. He hadn’t scanned one of products, so he scanned the product while I was holding it. Hands touched, so I cleaned my hand with soap and poured 96% alcohol over my hands to disinfect them. Chat is this racist? If he was white I wouldn’t have done it btw -
