@Sophistifunk That's a lot. Here in Commie British Columbia the government imposes rent control, limiting how much a landlord can increase rent on existing tenants each year. After a pause of a year, over Covid, we were told we could increase rent by 3% this past year. Luckily our old tenants moved out and we were able to charge 200% more, in line with the current market and after we spent over $25K on renovatioins in that suite this summer. In short, you're getting the shaft, Sir Funk.

Molly isn't so happy going through her heat; it seems to be dragging her down, emotionally and physically. And, for a Lab, she's being a bit pissy. Hopefully she's more outgoing when her suitor shows up next week.

We thought Molly was going into heat a few weeks back, but nothing came of it. Then today we found a trail of blood droplets on the floor. And now we phone her boyfriend's owner to set up a few dates. Also she is super pissed with me for some reason.

The wife went to the post to check the mail, and I received a letter from our Communist overlords in Victoria that I'm to remit $219 to them as a driver penalty fee for having accumulated 4 points in one year. I was nailed at the end of February 2022 (month end drive for points for the rcmp), for talking on the phone, only the second ticket accrued in nearly 40 years of driving. And I'm now a statistically more dangerous driver. What the actual fuck? And my previous ticket was over 20 years ago.
