Feel it, because not too far away there once was a very good restaurant serving genuine chinese food. Vastly different from all the others with their almost interchangeable menu and standardized taste of everything. Not exactly cheap, though, but it was always worth it. No delivery service or any of that and you better were calling well ahead in order to get a seat. Sweet memories, but at least a large enough city, so plenty of options and new offers like Korean and such.

Thinking about it - well - it's probably worth giving asian stuff a try in order to spice up home cooking further... I mean - lemon grass, ginger and stuff - it can't be all that hard, can it. 😇

Out of frustration with prices for stuff that can be bought *a lot* cheaper I once tried to make Sushi. Easy enough! And the hurdle of glutene-free soy sauce was taken as well recently, so there's really not much in the way - except for all the other, more regional stuff I also like to make. Like - erm - you really wouldn't believe what an apple can do to a simple potato salad, for instance... 😇 😋

Sort of rediscovered a place that once was Chinese and is now Vietnamese. Their solution seems quite simple. You can get some of the usual semi-chinese, standardized, sort-of-asian fast-food stuff, provided you really want to ignore all their fabulous, genuine, good stuff.

The neoliberal shitfuckery surely doesn't like the fascist aesthetics or their blunt approach, but are basically perfectly fine with the underlying notions of white supremacy and all.

Some squabble still ensues among them when it comes to cosmetics like cheap gas or funding for your next shiny EV, maybe for the heat pump in their smart homes, at least, but that's more or less it and folks having to pay rent are *not* on their radar, ever.
