@drahardja @rodhilton It's been pointed out in other conversations that the slavery loophole will be used for the concentration camps full of immigrants who previously were paid for their labor, and in fact taxes were paid on that income, which will no longer happen, so you see the 2nd/3rd order effects to the American people and the economy will be far reaching and disastrous. But private prison industry stocks will be out of this world.

Matt Gaetz, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Pete Hegseth, and Tulsi Gabbard – they are not simply “combative loyalists” or even “firebrands”. They are chaos agents, wildly unqualified, wholly unfit. They are entirely off the scale of previous cabinet appointees. Two of them are full-blown conspiracy theorists. None have management experience. Three of them are sexual predators.

What they are is intentionally norm-shattering picks intended to destabilize the government and pave the way for Donald Trump to seek retribution against his enemies. They are a wrecking crew.

The best shorthand phrase was coined by Yale historian Timothy Snyder, an expert in authoritarianism, in a recent interview on MSNBC.

NY judge should sentence Trump even if carrying out the sentence is suspended through the 2028 election. But he should be sentenced like anyone else who was found guilty of 34 felonies by a jury.

@samlitzinger True but allies & partners should be extremely wary of sharing intel with the U.S. with Trump in the White House. Having two Russian assets or one Russian asset at the top of the intelligence food chain is a distinction without a difference. If I was an allied or partner intelligence chief I would cease my most sensitive intelligence sharing with the U.S. NOW. Not after Jan 20, right now.
