@libreoffice Hello.

With LibreOffice, is it possible to only download some of its applications? I only want Writer, Calc, and Draw. Is LibreOffice all or nothing? I tried to uninstall Impress, but the only option that came up was to uninstall LibreOffice.

Using Windows.

@jacklaridian I decided to re-watch Episodes 1 -3 for the first time in years for that reason. To watch it with the addition of Dave Filoni's subsequent Star Wars stories.

Mr. Filoni's work didn't change my impression of Episode 1, but I'm finding that my love of The Clone Wars and The Bad Batch is giving me a different feel for Episode 2. The depth, poignancy, and variety of stories from the series is making for a different viewing experience of Episode 2 this time round.

I love The Clone Wars, and The Batch Batch. I'm revisiting the Star Wars Episode 1 - 3 films, the basis of those series. I wasn't a fan of these films when I first saw them. I'm watching "The Phantom Menace" for the first time in about ten years.

Jake Lloyd did a good performance. A talented child actor. I wish Mr. Lloyd well.

Ray Park's athleticism is incredible, and Darth Maul is amazing. I'm glad this character gets a Lazarus return.

I'm still not a fan of this film, though.

Being told that I'm too (whatever), because, "that's not appropriate for a woman." Being told that I'm not enough (whatever) because, "that's what a woman is supposed to be like."

The anger and pettiness I'd receive once I got to where I rejected being boxed in by someone else's projection of how I was supposed be, the jobs I was supposed to hold, because I'm a woman.

@Nichelle Your point about Uhura not being there as a love interest for Kirk is so important. Uhura was an officer on the bridge of a Starfleet starship. She wasn't there to moon over Kirk, either. I loved when Uhura was in command of the Enterprise in the TAS episode, "The Lorelei Signal."

Yes! Uhura was an example for all young girls that they could be an important part of science fiction, without being primarily a love interest.

Star Trek 31 Day Challenge

I have been all over the place with where I leave my Star Trek 31 Day Challenge posts. Sometimes as part of a thread for someone else's post. Sometimes as a solitary post. I had a bit of a time finding my own posts. So, I'm doing like I've seen other folks do, and making a thread for my responses.

Day 29 Character Who Inspires

TOS's Spock and Uhura. Their influence is inseparable. Spock's logic is a baseline that impressed me as a child, and remains with me today. As a child, views I experienced in life were confusing. A logical progression in thought made sense.

Uhura was my first time seeing a Black woman in space, in a command position. I cannot overstate how amazing it was to see her, to imagine myself as myself, on the bridge of the USS Enterprise.
