@hrefna I'm sure you're right, the ones that "chose" not to show up, probably didn't think of that, they probably didn't realize, and if it makes you feel better to think so, I am sincerely all for it because whether you "choose" to see what you're asserting is inherently obvious or not I hope for whatever comfort you can gain right now. But, if they understand what you're saying, why might they still be making that choice, and how do we hold power to account, instead of them

*Perhaps last time you donated a grand to a candidate that wiped your family off of the planet
*Perhaps you thought I lived in one of the solid not swing states, and they will see, "do better"

@hrefna I hear you. I hear you in my memories where this was my script for decades, I feel sure nearly everyone has heard it. I wonder why it doesn't work.

@hrefna "So if you don't show up because you can't bring yourself to vote for any candidate"<--I just listed several reasons why one might not be able or willing. Was anything done to help those people? Some of whom are already living an existence reflective of what others are trying to vote themselves away from?

@hrefna Maybe they just didn't hear it. The homeless folks that get arrested that CA voters just decided should be subject to slave labor, we can shout at them through the fence, "pick the lesser of two evils otherwise we might end up like you, if you pick the lesser of two evils, I don't think we'll be next... maybe"

@hrefna if your district is expensive, and constituency can't afford housing and you arrest them they may not reliably show up, same if they can't afford transportation, child care, to take time off of 1 of their 4 jobs, if they feel to sad because their the taxes funded their family's genocide, or if they just felt intimidated by creeping fascism across the board, or they didn't live in one of the tiny handful of states that truly decide the election.

@slashdot so basically Thiel owns us along with his druggy trash truck side kick. Let me guess, we get weekends with Eric Prince. Who else bought us this time?
