    @dequbed @debacle @bootblackcub @prose At least the XMPP devs are improving existing internet standards. It's always easy to start from scratch, but it only leads to more fragmentation. We need more standard compliance in the messenger space and less venture capital funded startups like Matrix cooking up their own incompatible protocols.
