Other writers, I am seeing you all put your full street address at the top of your Shun formatted submissions. This is fine, but today, my editor and agent friends tell me what's more important today is contact email and phone number, and make sure your headers have your email in them today. Yes, some agents and editors *still* print out your work to read. Why? I don't know, but some do, and that header will save your ass if they drop that bundle of paper. I had an author friend gush, for paragraphs, about how amazing my editing was. It was funny. It was honest. It was developmental juice that didn't have any trouble asserting it's flavor. He begged me to know what LLM I was using because he had other editors use LLMs and they weren't nearly as good or funny or sincere and they didn't seem to understand the work the way I did.

While checking out alternative Cloud storage, I was recommended RSync. Looks fantastic! Many inaccessible elements though such as unlabeled edit fields, very very very basic things. I have #NextCloud and #Koofr but I am looking to get rid of those in favor of just 1 massive cloud storage. Any suggestions?

I also stopped half way through the account creation process and I didn't know they still made your account. They are emailing me at least once a month to tell me there is something wrong with the billing on my account. *sigh*

Hey politicians, instead of age gating the internet and fucking up all our privacy, can you do something useful such as ban all promotional use within push notifications? I don't even want push notifications telling me about a new feature within the app, that's what release notes are for. I just got a Hoopla push notification that was telling me they have a lot of titles I can watch, but it was in the style of a generic promotional ad. Just no. I am guessing Android users have to put up with this bullshit too? Same with Netflix. I don't want a push notification telling me I haven't watched in a while. Fuck off. And fuck you if you are a developer and you do this. If you do this, you deserve to be pirated, that is how much I hate this practice. #Apple #Android

There's a good reason why I rarely visit websites I follow via RSS, and, instead, choose to read in my RSS reader. While the rest of the #IndieWeb are today saying RSS readers are flawed because they strip out the amazing web design by default, I am here to protest and say, actually, every RSS app that does this is doing you and I a massive favor.

Your web design is certainly not worth putting up with if I dislike it the first time.

If I wanted to appreciate your web design, I wouldn't use an RSS reader.

I was at a local school board challenging book bans and someone made the argument that, so would you let a racist/homophobic/bigoted work into the classroom?

Keep in mind every book that was being challenged was an author of color, or an LGBT plus author, or an author that writes young adult romances or other challenging but necessary works.

I said without hesitation, yes.

I’ve said it before and I will say it again. I am in no way in favor of banning any kind of literature. Even if you think you’re doing it for the right reason, you are not.

The thing about me is that I personally read every hateful and or bigoted novel I can get my hands on. The thing is, you don’t hear about it because I don’t promote it.
