I am trying to learn how to convince people to pay me without seeming needy or annoying.

It's a weird thing to think about for me. I absolutely hate asking for #money but I am legitimately putting #work into the projects I am doing, and would like to keep #learning so I can do it better, and do it for a living one day.

Making money on #socialmedia & online at first seems kinda like begging. Even if I put effort in.

Does anyone have any #recommendations for an #audio recording app for #android that automatically uploads a stream of audio online?

I want this for my own protection as I will be going to #protests and #livestreaming and #recording for various projects I am starting.

I want to have an audio and/or #video feed going at all times when not actively streaming, so that if something insane happens and I lose my #phone I don't also lose the files for evidence.

I had severe Tourette Syndrome my entire life which is like the most obnoxious and obvious mental illness ever if you know what you're looking for...

I didn't know what I was looking for for 27 years because the stereotype is outbursts, and I don't really get those unless I'm very emotional, where anyone could have one.

Don't give up, I believe in you.

I'm just waiting until my medical insurance doesn't think I deserve to have my seizure meds covered anymore.

I originally made this #Mastadon profile a few months ago because I got tired of how toxic #reddit could be, and wanted a place to randomly banter with people still. Which was my main use for it.

It's now turned into a bit of a #writing project. I write tons of short form stories anyway.

I have a tendency to ramble and over elaborate, and the length restriction on here forces me to shorten things.

It's a fun little challenge.

Well yesterday was rough after figuring out I don't really have a job anymore because the fires burned down the entire neighborhood my job was in.

But today I feel better, and focused, and I need a job.

So if anyone in LA needs a lead host and waiter with about a decade of experience, who can also do prep work, cashiering and simple barista work for pretty much any job imaginable (I wouldn't mind trying something new):

Was kinda just gonna wander around taking pictures of cool stuff and talking to random homeless dudes cuz I have no sense of self preservation.

@madeindex Free weed and snacks when you're homeless is the best thing ever.

I cut out colorful paper weed leaves and stapled them to a paper lunch sack with random jokes on them.

It's the most ghetto thing ever and I love it.

I would laugh my ass off if someone gave me one of these and that is the plan.

@madeindex I know absolutely nothing about business and I am not the most knowledgeable on politics either because it makes me angry and I avoid it.

But I feel the biggest issue is the drug problem and lack of services for the mentally ill and vulnerable really.

Because the mental health system you get when you're poor is awful, and so are the shelters you stay at most of the time, and nobody is helping or seems to care...

I was homeless simply for being too ill to work and no one helping.

I have a lot of insight as to what it's like to be homeless in this country because I was for four years due to mental health issues, addiction as a result, as well as from an accident where I nearly died.

It's absolute hell, and the resources are pathetic. "Just get a job!" Many say; being homeless is harder than any job you will EVER fucking do.

It's about to get worse because of Trump's plans for support systems the poor need.

We should be ashamed.

Merry Christmas everyone!

I have no family to celebrate with really, so I am helping out the family I used to have, and have made about 100 little care packages I am just going to hand out at shelters, two locations I stayed at once and helped me actually fix my life.

It includes weed, things I baked, decent razors cuz the ones shelters give you suck, warm socks and a few other random things I always used to think were useful.

I managed that a few times.

I would play more games on my phone if I didn't have to wade through about 50 trash games to find one tolerable one.

Not even a good one. Just a tolerable one.

Why the fuck do I have to like super complicated games?

Nothing on mobile for free is ever designed with intelligence greater than an 11 year old in mind. Or packed with ads. Or impossible to play for free after a while.

If people just made good games, I'd spend money on them Jesus.

I wonder what Republicans have planned for the massive wave of homeless people they are probably going to generate when they start gutting things like medicare.

A whole lot of people need medicine to function normally and work. I am one of these people.

If I have no insurance I cannot afford the medications I need to take.

Then I no longer have access to the housing I once had because I need insurance for it.

I won't be the only one.
