    @lanodan @quad @navi I personally would go for systemd-boot (which I think gentoo lets you install without the rest of systemd) since it's just way simpler on moderns UEFI systems

    I think I'll migrate akko.wtf back to a VPS on Saturday.

    It's been fun running the instance on my home server, but it's also had its own downsides like when the power cut out back in July and well the reliability of a home internet connection is obviously not as great as a proper datacenter uplink.

    Like I've said before, I might be moving to a different ISP in January which might not have the same amount of bandwidth as my current one and Hetzner's increasing the prices of their US VPSes while dramatically cutting the monthly bandwidth allowance. It's probably as good of a time as any to make the move.

    @lanodan yeah turns out grub2 in general is kinda annoying to install in a standalone fashion (without having a formatted partition of a supported FS like ext4)
