    the one thing I think that would make xmpp omemo perfect is borrowing the key recovery mechanism from matrix so you can see older encrypted messages on newer devices

    it's pretty wild how quickly distros have switched from pulseaudio to pipewire, even relatively conservative ones like ubuntu and debian

    anyone's tried using btrfs with compression on a cloud vps

    might be a possible way to get away with smaller disks on cheaper VMs for akkoma or other fedi software.

    Only problem is that btrfs apparently isn't that great performance wise for postgres. (Yes there's nocow, but that also disables compression, which defeats the purpose of this setup)
