A: i guess i'd say that "true happiness" is kind of too lofty a goal. at least, that's helped me. the future is blurry and scary for me too right now. but, what i can do, is make time for my passions and the people i love as much as possible and take it all day by day. those things make me happy. i don't worry about being a "happy person" and, instead, think about what could bring me comfort in the moment. communicate clearly and love deeply. you deserve the same patience you'd give a loved one. https://revospring.net/@ryeserling/a/117106123397878510

Q: Do you know about the Doctor Who MTG cards? Is there a character you think they snubbed by not giving them a card?

A: i have so little knowledge and engagement with Magic that every time i see "MTG" i think the horrible lady first. while it's new to me that there are Doctor Who cards, that's really neat!

i think it's better to wrestle with the fact that terrible people can make great art than to act like it sucked. if it's worth your time or edifying is kind of up to you, but i'm not gonna pretend stuff is magically bad now

i'm a horror/sci-fi writer and a sound designer. i think one of my audio drama scripts that never got produced could adapt really well into a short kinetic visual novel.

would like to partner with a coder and an artist. was in talks with a couple others, but it fell through. i can do all writing and sfx, and i have a composer to do music.

i'd love for it to be in a 1-bit, black and white style. i was very inspired looking at the game Wold of Horror. because of this, i think it'd work especially well for the Playdate. it's this console pictured that has a crank on the side — which i think serves itself well to a horror story.

let me know if you have thoughts! i'd def share the script with you and be open to creative input. i'm all about collaboration and would love for us all to be a team!

hey, fuck Pete Docter (the ceo of Pixar) for making a queer director cut a storyline about growing up gay because, and quote: "We’re making a movie, not hundreds of millions of dollars of therapy." i'm sure there's great people working at Pixar still, but this is so backward. it shows that, at their core, they don't care about art. they could be making deodorant for all they care. as long as they're useful and profitable for Disney, that's all that matters now. #pixar #disney #movies
