The capital accumulation and wealth inequalities are what drives totalitarianism in our times. That is why Saddam's death wasn't any improvement, nor Bin Laden. I just unsubscribed from The Counteroffensive. I really followed Tim Mak and his crew on Ukraine, and believe they were providing very crucial reporting. However, their take on Venezuela unlawful bombing and abduction was appalling. Regardless of what Maduro is (and I don't have nice words for him) the US invading another country because they don't like their regime and wants control over their resources IS NOT AN END TO DICTATORSHIP, IT'S REPLACING IT.

Thank you everyone for resharing. I woke her up again when I moved the curtains and the heating went on. She was quite sleepy and easy to capture. We left her outside, hoping she will fine a better place to rest. I suspect she was from the huge colony that last summer made our willow buzzier than an electricity plant. I had a lot of fun observing them (still overcoming my fear) and giving them small offerings. I wish her a restful winter and a good buzzy night to you all

Any #wasps expert here? We might have a queen hibernating in our bedroom, and would love some advice. I have disturbed her this evening, and she started buzzing around for some minutes. Went out, closed her inside, and by the time we returned with a cup to catch her she has disappeared and has gone completely silent. Windows and doors shut, so we believe she has probably crawled in some remote corner within the wardrobe. What should we do? Leave or find her?

(without mentioning that e.g. Apple allowed for the Chinese Government to unleash a huge mass surveillance on Uyghurs through their phone and Tim Cook has just gave Trump a golden plate)

@aral the core principle of being on the Left is to tackle inequality, to achieve egalitarianism. Anything that doesn’t prioritise this isn’t the Left. Liberals who see themselves as the “managers” of the status quo, who are perfectly fine with a deeply unequal society, are on the Right, even if (sometimes, when convenient) they use the correct pronouns and acknowledge indigenous land (but never give it back)
