@dansup @pixelfed simplify SELFHOSTING because the fediverse is unsustainable if many people join, the servers will not hold up and the costs will be very high.

Imagine wanting to see a place on openstreetmap and user photos appear (like google earth) or geolocate a photo or video on socials that supports ActivityPub. The possibilities are huge and would involve more people.

@dansup @pixelfed Thank you for your efforts, but if #ActivityPub (#mastodont, #gitea #pixelfed and #loops etc.) is to be used by many and to use its potenzualities it must be #SelfHosted because of its #opensource nature. Therefore its installation and management, e.g., in #kdeplasma, #proxmox, #freebsd, #truenas, #nextcloud etc. should be simplified. Also imagine an integration between #openstreetmap and #activitypub , it would be a huge benefit for the #opensource #community 🌎🌍

Therefore its installation and management, e.g., in #kdeplasma, etc. should be simplified. Also imagine an integration between #openstreetmap and #activity-pub , it would be a huge benefit for the open-source community 🌎🌍
