wow being in a car all day is top tier boring. 😑

but hey, i’m towing a house behind me, so that’s cool. and i drove through the mountains in a heavy rainstorm and all through the tolls without losing my mind. i made @corey take over after that.

met up with one of the folks doing the ride with me last night. camped in a small town not far from the iowa/illinois border, monmouth. slept pretty well except for the train barreling through every few hours blasting its horn.

heading to glenwood, then omaha to meet up with one of my best friends (who i happened to meet via a local raleigh ride)! they’re not doing ragbrai, but i’ll get to see their omaha home, which is neat.

@clive @vfrmedia @thomasfuchs agreed! i only really drive on the freeway; my partner is much better at handling the smaller streets and backing it into impossible spots. 😅

@clive @thomasfuchs tell me about it. i ride my bike (electric sometimes, acoustic other) for in-town errands, and it’s always a gamble.

thankfully have only been hit by a car once (fractured my pelvis, yeesh).

@thomasfuchs @clive i’ve always really wished we had the light little trailers like they do in europe so i didn’t need a big truck to haul mine. that said, the truck only leaves the driveway if we’re towing or hauling something in the bed.
