@kims they love crowds and fire here, for sure. Crowds are unavoidable in Barcelona, but the castellers are an awe-inspiring thing to see. Crowds yes, but no fires and no sudden loud noises. Definite recommendation.

@inthehands I think this sense of entitlement of disregarding job specs you don't meet comes with age. Back in the day I would scan job requirements looking for a reason to rule myself out and thus not apply. Now I see 'five years of FancyFramework' and apply anyway. Let them reject me - I'm not going to do it for them.
The only objective of applying is to secure the interview.

@skinnylatte Oh, very cool. Which former British colony, apart from Ireland, does that?

@skinnylatte I did my schooling in a former British colony too and now I live in a country that isn't. Nobody here knows any Shakespeare.

@aral I know it's not what you are seeking, but the best translator for Catalan is the award-winning @softcatala, of this parish.

@kims Pronouncing that kind of car as 'coop' is an Americanism. To me, as a European, it sounds very odd; I would expect 'coo-PAY.' That said, the book and author are American, so the author's intention was probably 'coop' I would imagine.
