I won't be buying anything on Amazon tomorrow. All of Europe, including the UK is ramping up their military spending, both for themselves and for Ukraine. Ukraine is the dam holding back the ruthless avariciousness and murderous intent of Putin's Russia and if that dam breaks, all of Europe is at high risk. Most especially the UK, mainly because it's an island. His avowed intent always has been to destroy the EU and western countries. He's already done that to the most powerful, ie the US. EU leaders know this is the most critical time ever.

Spain has refused entry of two U.S ships carrying military equipment and explosives from America to Israel.
Spain has banned all ships carrying military supplies for Israel from docking in its ports. Hats off to them. Every little helps.

@gleick Correct, in theory. The key of course is that the opposition doesn't fracture into multiple single issue parts which is of course what they'll aim for. "Divide and conquer" isn't a saying for nothing, it's worked very well indeed for millennia.

I think that until there is proper investigation into why people voted against Harris/Walz it's a bit innocent, naive and denialist to think it was solely because she is black, and a woman, although I'm sure that will prove to be a significant factor. There were many "single issue" people out there, whether it was Gaza, the trans issue or lack of promoting the good things Biden had already done...I think it's all played a part. Oh, and the toxic media of course. As ever.

The south of France has suffered 26" of rain in just 48hrs. This has NEVER happened before in recorded history. Absolutely catastrophic. Another tipping point is passed...the Earth's water cycle is completely out of balance. It's still raining there. #ClimateChange

Speaking at the end of the annual Tory conference, the leadership candidate told party delegates that the younger generation are “afraid to share their politics” out of fear their peers will attack them or lecturers will mark them down. A serious accusation and she failed to provide any evidence whatsoever. Another attack on education by those who want the plebs to remain ignorant.
