i understand the need to control your own morals and not go to airbnb or buy a tesla but thinking this has any effect is just cognitive dissonance

there is no ethical consumption under capitalism but more importantly, a fascist in a position of power is not gonna go away if we're playing by their rules

i respect anyone that's trying to stay sane, im not saying don't do this

but i just hate the vague protagonism of "we'll show them" with measures that have Never worked against facism

i'll tell you which measures work, look up what happened to Mussolini, look up the spanish space program

you know what anti fascists did in my city when we were occupied by Nazis? they shot the chief of police in broad daylight for betraying our community

i would say i would like most "demo activists" to spend time doing community organising and starting campaigns to change marginalisation of local communities they're protesting for in their local area. demos feel like vanity projects for people that wanna feel like they're doing something rather than actually actionably change their environment for the better
