We are fostering-with-intent-to-fail my friend’s dog’s sibling, and he is a Very Good Boy other than some reactivity on walks, an inclination for bird chasing, and some vocalizations when people go into the adjacent townhouse (they are remodeling so people are going in and out all day 😭)
We love him already but his behavior challenges exceed our current competence and we would like some one on one support before we decide to officially adopt.
Already looking through yelp, but would love any recommendations!
Does anyone have good resources on Autism/ADHD and communication styles?
I'm getting some push-back at work for preferring written communication over face-to-face and for sharing more context than people think is necessary or useful.
@thomasfuchs While I agree we should socially ostracize them, I wish we didn't make "weird" a synonym for "cruel", "immature", "incoherent"
I am _weird_ (by which I mean, socially awkward and anxious, not particularly snappy dresser, neurodivergent on a number of axis) it doesn't feel great to be lumped in with fascists as a joke.
