Wondering about still adding twitter cards to the head section of my website. I'll have OG. But can't say I'm keen on optimizing for X. hmmmm

@redcrew Right?! I mean, if other social sites are pulling them too then I'm fine with keeping them but it seems weird to keep for no reason (or just for X)

@chris Thanks so much! I just want to get through as much as I can myself first, because it helps me learn, but I will definitely have questions at some point

@chris I'm so impressed that you managed to get the content separated. I mean, there's still a lot with Hugo that I haven't looked into yet, but I'm finding that really challenging in some places. Anyway! Thanks for sharing your theme. I definitely want to check it out

@chris Moving the site to any other system will be a process, I'm sure. I'm a bit concerned about hitting walls with it but that might not happen. I've wanted to try it out for a while now. This seems like the time to do that

I don't know how it will go but at the moment I think I might try recreating my website in Hugo and my personal knitting site in Craft CMS -- and see what I think of them both --- but that'll be later in the month 'cause life stuff. If it goes well then I'll repoint the domains

@chris Although having to manually update ACF, upgrade to pro, or switch to a "fork" will personally affect a heck of a lot of people (millions?).

Also every plugin dev now has to worry that their plugin may be next. At this rate, I think there won't be many left who can sit back and ignore the nonsense.

I think leaving/switching may be difficult to do for many people so it wouldn't surprise me if it takes a few months to really see the impact

@chris @shawnhooper @Jeffro To be fair, that is one of the harder episodes to get through. But it's definitely not for everyone. One of my favourite lines from the show (not a spoiler) is, "How's the bear? The bear is a bear". That is true of the show itself

@chris Sounds like the right call, though. It might be annoying now but I bet you'll be so much better off once it's done. I've continually had logistical issues with my current bank, too. Opening the account in the first place was an awful process and I've been meaning to switch ever since!
