i now have a working prototype of IRCv3 integration in our internal web based notes system with chat/comment history... thanks to the Ergo IRC server's builtin websocket support + message persistence this was incredibly comfortable to implement. every doc becomes a channel :D

checking HN is not good for my mental health... i like to discover new software/tools/hacks/experiments etc and while that site was always problematic, now there's just too much clAuDe slop, and it is jarring to always read from the people grieving about the huge rug pull after decades of code crafting and from "build or get left behind" slopmaxxers in the same threads. is there a calm computer page out there where people still just do stuff by hand/head?

Remember "don't print this email" in signatures that was a bit cringe? It doesn't feel that cringe anymore in retrospect. I'm doing an experiment now with this new email signature :D Anyone doing something similar? Could it catch on?

@skinnylatte thanks for writing this up—i kinda have this issue too since moving to west berlin (~tiergarten) which often feels understimulating and lacking interesting options/third places, esp. outside 9-5 hours

one of the most chaotic congress/assembly experiences for me so far, the assembly has grown considerably, and didn't have time to prep/test some demos before, but OTOH had a ton of little new things to show, and many deep and engaging conversations. feeling exhausted/energized/motivated/validated/anxious/excited all at the same time. and it was moving to be so warmly welcomed as an out queer person 🥲 #39c3
