This event with Black Girls Code sounds neat: virtual workshop for ages 10-13, using Scratch to design a dodgeball game. I'd encourage any Black parents or relatives to piggyback with your kids, because Scratch is a really wonderful learning tool for all ages -- I've taught it to humanities grad students as well.

overall, the site honors and enforces people's pronouns -- that part is great. if you find something that needs editing, someone behind the scenes will work to keep that change in place. and they will be pushing back on some big creeps, so they are cool and doing a good thing.

I was revisiting his partner Lottie's writings at the time and she mentions that he "nearly killed himself."

I don't know how we pull apart the risk of suicide (something I never want anyone to do) from when people are accused of abuse. But I find it disgusting, still, that she minimized how the women felt while holding up that they caused him (she called this "cyberbullying") to have these feelings.
