@feld I did a bit more research and apparently Amazon charges extra for fulfillment if you don't also sell through Amazon. If the product sell cheaper on eBay, I'm guessing it's still cheaper to sell through eBay with Amazon fulfillment than doing everything through Amazon.
@feld According to a quick search, eBay has lower costs. Which surprises me, because I looked up the costs of selling on eBay in the past and thought they were a lot. It depends a bit one a number of factors, like how many different products they put on the store, how much they sell, the type of items and a bunch of other stuff, but it does look like buying on eBay leaves the seller with more money in most cases. If they're fulfilling through Amazon, they might pay for storage and fulfillment, but I'm not sure if that arrangement means they have to pay additional fees from both sites. I guess I don't really know now.
@SuperDicq Second one was used specifically to stop another resource waster. And I've seen several people say Anubis is a rather crude response but the only effective one they could come up with. Cryptocurrency had the unfortunate luck to be insanely successful, so people assumed it was a Ponzi scheme. Plus, they might be against it because they hate capitalism. Never mind Anubis has ultimately economical reasons anyway, too.
@lain@kaia@cell@meeper I had no energy left during my apprenticeship to actually do anything on the side. Before I didn't do that much either, but I also don't want to spend significant amounts of my time working aside from a full-time job and I don't think I can keep that up either. Which is one of the reasons why I'm trying to change careers now.
@thatbrickster@kaia@sun I thought cons became more popular after the pandemic. At least that's the case for the anime cons and they seem to have a similar audience.
