I kind of cheaped out towards the end when I threw these two together... all the dreams are actually separate renders scaled down to fit in the image - they're scattered all over the folder(s) and subfolder(s) among the rest of my WIPs. I'll share them if I find them (search indexing is disabled on this system, so looking for them is going to be a bit of a task).
I think most of my motivation actually came from how nice the previous thing I posted turned out, but this time I opted to just grab a 3D background and place it directly in the scene rather than manually piecing 2D background assets together in PDN and hoping they fit.
In (what I guess you could call) Chapter 1 of the game, we had to seal four Elder Signs... well, turns out, we could only seal three of them, and all of those were in the basement. The fourth one? It's right here on the ground floor, and...
So we've gone from a haunted mansion somewhere in Massachusetts to a magic castle somewhere in another dimension... you know, as one does - maybe we'll find a warp to the Boreal Expanse or some other outer world at some point.
The enemy variety is picking up a bit... the album at the library is starting to divide monsters into groups based on where you encountered them - so far, we've seen 23 at Weathertop Hall, 10 at the Castle (which is further subdivided between floors - 9 on the 1st floor and 1 on the 2nd).
I think I've poked around with this enough for one night - I got the short distraction I needed.
Anyway, spur-of-the-moment XPS render before I faceplant into the back walls of the shower - this morning's given me shit to do elsewhere that hopefully won't keep me away from home for too long... fastest expected time being about an hour-and-a-half, generous estimate.
As is customary, a link to where the patch is currently hosted... note that this is intended for a ROM dump using an iNES header - if your dump is using a different header (like NES2.0) or you're somehow playing headerless (something that, to my knowledge, emulators typically don't allow), the checksums won't match, which can result in some rather unpredictable behavior after applying the patch.
