@skinnylatte phyllo borek are too fussy for me (to make; I'd eat them :-) ) - but phyllo baklava - drizzled with honey water and generously sprinkled with pistachios, made with soft cheese. Mmmmmm.

@skinnylatte I use puff pastry as a passable shell for borek (Turkish style).
Dufour does fine for me.
*Definitely* savory fillings. Mashed potatoes, oven-caramelized onions, Beyond burger with a cup of ras al hanout mixed in - they're a favorite for potlucks.

@skinnylatte more than a decade after this happened, I'm *still* shaking my head about the mom who let her daughter drive anywhere but thought I was *taking big risks* because my daughter rode to and around Seattle by bus.

The young women were of the same age.

@nat I went to school in Israel. We had Holocaust classes every year, K-12 (11, in my case, because reasons.)
The curriculum is centralized, so everyone who grew up there had them.

For the past 15 or so months I've been thinking that some people listened REALLY well, but took exactly the wrong lessons.
