I wonder what’s the demographic of the people who shout “I don’t give a shit about politics”

I love how every time I post about cycling, there’s gotta be some dudes from HK living abroad sending me passive aggressive remarks implying I’m a FOB just because I don’t own a car

… it’s almost like it’s a deliberate lifestyle choice driven by health and environmental concerns 🤷🏻♀️

I probably won’t be re-federating my Threads account until it’s done in a meaningful, interactive way

Until then, I’m just gonna be using this account to post here

It’s unnecessary to pledge allegiance to one social media platform or another

I’ve been exclusively dating a beautiful woman

And the implication that my civil rights of legally marrying her in the future could be taken away contributed to my downward spiral of thoughts last night

It wasn’t just about my career, it’s also about my life in general

feeling useless after the layoff

feeling helpless after the false rumor of me stealing meta’s grubhub meal credit continue to spread like wildfire internationally

feeling hopeless after this week

feeling isolated because it felt like everyone is avoiding me now

maybe i should just end my life.

I really like Instagram’s approach to blocking, that it also lets you block the other accounts they may have or create,

which makes throwaway accounts less useful for stalkers who wished to circumvent the block with

I wish more Mastodon apps would let us specify the language of the post while composing it (like how it is on the web client)

It’d be useful for those who post in multiple languages

A “web3” company acquiring a Mastodon instance also makes a little sense to me:

There‘s already web3-native technologies out there like Lens Protocol and Farcaster. One could’ve added ActivityPub capabilities from there. It’s a protocol after all

Buying a Mastodon instance and then trying to fork/add web3 capabilities from there (making it less as compatible with the rest of Mastodon instances (if not already defederated)) feels out of place imo
