before apple started doing that everyone cared about weight, which imo is a much more relevant metric for usability

@grillchen@brotka.st @koakuma@uwu.social @icedquinn@blob.cat yeah, the arm macbook airs deliberately have inadequate cooling (passive cooling) presumably as a means to artificially reduce performance and set them apart from the more expensive models with the same SoC

@koakuma@uwu.social @icedquinn@blob.cat @grillchen@brotka.st apple always does something to artificially reduce the usefulness of their products, like limiting the USB-C connector to USB 2.0 on their iphones despite the SoC being USB4 capable, or limiting external displays to 1 on some macbooks

this is probably one of those things :ameowmelt:
