@misty I just woke up and I can't do math, but Claude speculated for me. A ~892 GB SQLite file could keep goo.gl (shortened id, full url, creation date). I could host it on my Raspberry
It uses its own data format (static files + SQLite, which is good), but is not Hugo or any of the well-known SSGs, so I am still evaluating it. But, I mean, is a good tool, that I would recommend to anyone who wants to build a website today.
Publii https://getpublii.com/ this is neat, thanks for the suggestion. It uses its own source format (not Hugo or other SSGs) but has many good things: the UI works, data saved to SQLite, automatically recompress thumbs to WebP, html output has optimal defaults and is very fast.
I would need a desktop editing application for a static site generator (Hugo) for non tech people. Edit happens locally, then the content folder is synced remotely (Syncthing) where build happens. https://www.pubcrank.md/ is the right idea, but not free and chrome only, and still a bit raw. Can you suggest more similar apps? Requirements: desktop app, single user, wysisyg, that works offline.
Periodic question: do you know any modern tool equivalent to Jenkins or Rundeck? Requirements: local or remote execution of scripts, web interface, api.

@ryanfb the IA cli actually allows with ease to get bulk metadata and torrent files. But, the api called, is on the same domain, so down now. They offer torrent for single items, would be better to have it for full collections. The good old rsyncd or zsync http://zsync.moria.org.uk/ could also be enough.
(I have just read Jason Scott on X, the problem is failed frontend server)
for the series: database dumps are better than HTTP API ¹
F1DB is the most comprehensive free open source database with all-time Formula 1 racing data and statistics. https://github.com/f1db/f1db Download the SQLite dumps 14MB zipped, 70 uncompressed. And you are ready to use the data
