Does anybody know of an openly licensed image of this collage based on the Madonna Litta showing Putin and Călin Georgescu?

The images I've seen so far are from press agencies ...

@raffaele niente male, questa teca digitale. Manca la licenza, purtroppo, e una pagina sul sito (https://tecadigitaleacs.cultura.gov.it/pagine/pagina?id=1024) rimanda all'art. 108 del Codice dei beni culturali. Quindi riuso limitato anche di oggetti nel pubblico dominio 😕

@nemobis mi piacerebbe molto saperne di più. Ti viene in mente dove potrei andare a cercare informazioni su questa vicenda? sarebbe in ogni caso una bella ricerca che potrebbe sfruttare anche le possibilità del FOIA. Ma forse questa ricerca è già stata fatta.

@nemobis not surprised. so the application of this law is totally arbitrary and at the discretion of the italian state and its cultural heritage institutions. Which, again, means that you'd better not use anything.

@rmounce so I wonder if there is a list of "culturally significant" works of art that are being subtracted from the public domain. At least this could by a useful resource ...

After the devastating fire in the National Museum of Brazi in September 2018 there's been a campaign asking the public to upload their pictures related to the museum to #WikimediaCommons : This call resulted in an impressive peak which didn't last long, however.
