@whitequark I actually got some for growing chilli peppers. But every single decent store selling them also sells rolling papers

@whitequark Aren't they capping out based on total power draw with fixed port priority like the other deviced? My guess is you can't pull more than two ports at full wattage

@wren6991 @whitequark FYI what I do in Yosys is avoid interpreting anything other than select trivial getters in trivial cases and it should be enough to later have Yosys do input-SDC-breaking synthesis by rewritting the getters in the SDC : https://github.com/YosysHQ/yosys/pull/5412
It works by overriding the unknown function handler in the Tcl interpreter. Fun! -

sphinx is fucking stupid and won't let you have multiple TOC files because it ignores its own exclude mechanism. So I use these tag ifdefs instead. But then I get this. How could this have become the corporate preferred documentation ecosystem?

"MyST doesn't support the "only" directive correctly. It always evaluates to true."
and I learn this not from docs but from a random file by doing code search on github?
Honestly, how hard is it to implement a plain old ifdef?

jeeeeeez, I thought sphinx was gonna be less of a "loose pile of stuff" of a project than pandoc, but "having a bibliography per latex book chapter" seems unsurmountable without forking or without the sort of hacks that remove the point of not using pandoc

I am working on changing how Yosys emits src attributes. I failed to find anything about the specific textual format of src attributes in Verilog produced by commercial tools so I asked an LLM about src attributes hoping it might cite some synopsys pdf or whatever. Instead it talked about what Yosys does. In other words, "Great clown Pagliacci is in town tonight. Go and see him"...

messed up that the only way to write CMake is to read CMake sources first

@0xabad1dea the problem with latex jokes is that you have to say them twice so that the references make sense

@whitequark in 2023 and prior there wasn't an imminent toppling of the 3 branches system... it's just out of date

@fclc listen, we need to end this infighting and build FP-hardware unity. 2026 year of LISP machine desktop, I'm calling it now
