The PEEN-hole lens

Finally saw this Pelikan M205 Moonstone in person at a local stationery store while browsing with a pen friend. I was looking for a chrome trim Pelikan for my chrome tone nibs. This looked perfect, and I really like the look of the resin's glitter effect, it's very subtle and well-distributed in the resin, but you can definitely see it while you use the pen.

I've paired it with a M625 OBB nib I got new old stock. It's a lovely nib, I will share some writing samples soon.

Pelikan M400 F nib (1980s–90s)

Recently got a sample of this ink from @missworld007. A fun ink, it flows a bit better than Diamine Holly which I believe is quite similar. Sheen really comes out in a wetter pen, but it's not all sheen all the time which is a bit boring—there's still a lot of shading here.

Thanks to u/Mr_Boston_ for selling me this nib on pen_swap. Bouncy and a pleasure to write with.

Die gute Nachricht: Ich glaube, aufgrund der Bilder, dass beide Federn und beide Füller repariert werden können. Und ich denke, es lohnt sich, sie zu reparieren, denn sie stammen aus einer Ära von Pelikan, als die Federn von besserer Qualität waren als heute.

Both of these inks have been used earlier, so won't go into detail about them. Both shimmer inks, both very cheerful and seasonally suitable.

Banmi Neutron 90° Green-Purple
Rotring ArtPen 1.5

The last of the three Banmi holo shimmers. Similar properties, just different colors. One thing that I have noticed is that the shimmer flows out a lot at the beginning and then as you write, the amount of shimmer quickly dwindles.

After tomorrow I will post the poem in its entirety.

Retro 51 Lincoln / FPR 14k ultraflex

I had forgotten just how magical this ink was. There is so much shimmer and it looks so gold, yet the ink still flows well. It's bonkers. Pelikan's first shimmer ink and they knocked it out of the park.

Lamy Safari Cursive (漢)

Compared to original (2016) Dark Lilac, this has much more of a green sheen-- more like a darker, purpler version of Lamy Azurite.
