Food for thought:

LB.1 was third of two-weeks old New York/New Jersey estimate; roughly one-in-five in neighboring Mid-Atlantic and New England.

That said, LB.1 has two mutations in common with its fellow FLiRT variant, and second-guess vaccine target, KP.2, such that LB.1, like KP.3, is only two steps removed from KP.2.

However, in a scenario where, as an example, a non-KP SLip lineage picked up S:Q493E, joining KP.3 as another FLuQE, then JN.1, not KP.2, would be the closer vaccine target.

Partially achieved twice in U.S. history:

Inaugural Earth Day march in 1970 was 20 million people (when the threshold was 7 million); not sustained, though we did get an updated Clean Air Act.

George Floyd protests, estimated at 15-20 million; sustained… yet only until white liberals won their election.

Well-meaning ableists who only understand ongoing pandemic as acute symptoms…

Are like well-meaning white people who only understand systemic racism as specific encounters.

Reading about how a party that emerged a century ago from trade unionist movement has, in present day, purged its left flank so to claim a chariot racing team victory.

About today's "People's CDC" agitprop:

In early days of trying to get activists, if no one else, to mask up—if only to make protests safe for disabled folk—there was some prima facia rationale for telling such otherwise ableist activists to mask as opsec.

On closer examination, however, this was just as dangerous as well-intentioned "traffic deaths because covid brain" narrative.

Now that we know that surveillance ain't impeded by masks, though, just shows "People's" CDC are out of the loop.

Fighting mask bans is fighting fascism.

Fighting eugenics is fighting fascism.

Keeping one another safe is fighting fascism.

Fighting health supremacism is fighting fascism.

Fighting suppression of protest is fighting fascism.

Keeping the #FifthEstate from getting even more power is fighting fascism.

Nonetheless, wearing a mask in public is not about "privacy" (except in Roe doctrine sense).

Misinformation that masks hurt surveillance marks police and legislators as rubes.

Leverage that.

Begins with definition of those who are the fundamental matter—the raw material—without which #RentierSociety cannot function.

Just as Marx opined the landlord class would be subsumed by the capitalist class, only for the latter to be colonized by the former…

So too he suggested we lumpen would rot away—being remnants of "old society"—only for the society that followed to enclose and foreclose us, so to more efficiently farm us.

No longer "undefined".

Marx found us too déclassé to even theorize ("entirely undefined, disintegrating mass"); anti-capitalists still today perceive us as "social scum", useful only to "reactionary intrigues" against the true proletariat.

Anarchists, meanwhile, idealize a world we are free-associated out of—where folk can freely choose not to care for the welfare of others—say, during an ongoing pandemic.
