@thomasfuchs @ZiggyTheHamster It's not so cut and dry. IME small companies blindly take on the tech baggage of big companies but don't have the personnel so now that k8s cluster is your problem instead of a whole other team's. About social baggage and work life balance, I'm not sure.

As someone who went straight from command line Git to Magit, I'm just now learning the built in vc-* commands are pretty good, vc-region-history in particular which shows the commit history of a selected region is pretty killer.

PSA: was talking to a friend of mine this weekend who knows the money side of tech things and folks pouring millions in AI funding don't give a f********ck about accuracy. It's all about first mover vendor lock in. Like it's always been.

I just stumbled across this hack for adding comments in JSON and there is no greater testament to human ingenuity and endurance in the face of adversity.

I know this is terribly naive but I still believe a piece of software can be finished and done and that’s a goal worth striving for.
