@isagalaev @WarnerCrocker this is what I'm thinking too. The last stage of resistance will necessarily be physical/forceful. I don't know what to expect either, but the U.S. has a history of successful protest movements (violent and nonviolent), and I can only hope they're up for a difficult fight.

@WarnerCrocker what is the answer? 😬 What groups are supposed to enforce federal court orders in the U.S. system? Is it the same branch that is defying court orders??

@WarnerCrocker on all the legal podcasts I'm listening to, really smart people who know American laws, all of them are avoiding the question, "what if the Trump admin does not follow court orders?"

Social media companies created a market for creators to depend on their platforms and the platform model effect to make money. Going viral serves the purpose of enrichment, not real engagement.

Fediverse seems to be more about serving a different purpose, which is to connect and engage with people in meaningful ways. this is the reason I loved early twitter and fell out of love with it once the algorithms took over.
