@phiofx hi yes the blog article covers that but it is a bit of an aside; the 1-core Chapel sort clocked at 64 million elements sorted per second, which is a bit faster than he Rust sort. I did put it in the chart etc because it’s not the point. The point is, we need parallelism.

I've created a #blog post comparing the performance of standard library 'sort' calls in different languages. Chapel's sort uses composable parallelism to be 10x faster than other popular languages for a test sort on my PC.

@thomasfuchs I know the non-usb end is called TRRS (tip ring ring sleeve) but I don’t know about any non-audio uses of it.
