@phiofx hi yes the blog article covers that but it is a bit of an aside; the 1-core Chapel sort clocked at 64 million elements sorted per second, which is a bit faster than he Rust sort. I did put it in the chart etc because it’s not the point. The point is, we need parallelism.

Chapel's sort uses composable parallelism to be 10x faster than other popular languages for a test sort on my PC.
