@steve @inthehands @sue This inspires me to share my favorite definition of wisdom I've ever received (thanks to a sixth grader from when I was a teacher):

Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is knowing that a tomato doesn't belong in a fruit salad.

Posting the #Episcopal Church’s pride shield for a couple of reasons: news out of the UK, of course, but also to confuse the hell out of those in the US government who say that pride flags are a sign of “anti-Christian bias.”

#Story time (or, How I Learned #MaliciousCompliance And You Can Too!): When I was about sixteen years old, I was the sound guy for my school. I went to a Baptist parochial school. The church owned all the sound equipment and they had trained me, since I was like 10, in how to operate it. The school was allowed to use the equipment, but in general no one at the school had the technical know-how. So they relied on the church’s A/V crew to run things. Until my sophomore year. 1/

@dansup I have to say that I just really paid attention to the logos for Loops and Peertube and I think they’re brilliant. I have no idea if you intended for Loops to reference/riff Peertube’s design language, but it’s very good either way (Peertube evoking federation through the “play” triangle pointing in multiple directions while also itself being a “play” triangle; almost the same sized triangle in the negative space with the looping graphics for Loops).

Gee, who could have EVER foreseen that putting all our emergency services social media eggs into a single basket owned by a private company would turn out to be a bad idea?
