Happy autumn equinox. I came across this artwork years ago and it always evoked that transition point that tips the balance between day and night.

The crows, ravens and other corvids have always been richly entwined into lore and culture.

Birds of immense skill, intellect and wisdom and paired up with elemental beings and gods.

From the immense Brân to the all-seeing Odin.

So, enjoy the tipping point and welcome the welcoming darkness into your lives.

Well, our Beeb has been running three stories all day.

One about poor Jay Slater, whose body has been identified by his mother today.

One about that orange man and how he was saved by Gaaaawwwd and how he's going to make America HATE again.

And finally, one about a bloody football manager who will probably be OK and get an enormous severance package and probably a free puppy too.

I feel so empowered that I probably won't watch the news now for the rest of the hour.

Anyhoo, it's pizza time.

I'm struggling with stuff today.

I had my first birthday card yesterday from my dad since my mother has passed away, and the complete absence of my mother's name on the card hit me in ways that I hadn't expected it to.

Grief is now my new friend, a lifelong relationship that I now have to make space for.

A friend that I'll now make space for at the table and invite into every aspect of my life.

A friend that will help me accept the treasures in memories and the healing power in letting go.

Well, looks like I have succumb to the dreaded Covid, at long last...

Most of our hostas are fully stretched out for the summer ahead.
