Out of curiosity, not sure if you'd know. But did threads change something with their account mentions (or maybe something happened on my sever) but it used to take me directly to threads.net whenever I clicked a @threads.net username but now it actually opens it in my server's UI like a normal mention

Hm, every flipboard.social url just shows the phrase "I'm a teapot" instead of their mastodon server UI

I think it would it would be cool if activitypub posts could render in matrix clients like how twitter rendered tweets in DMs

It'd also be cool if you could have basic interactions with likes and polls- though that'd probably be a lot more difficult to implement

The funniest thing about people who say the NFL is rigged for entertainment is the least entertaining thing is watching one team win every superbowl for 15 years and then switching to a different team winning for another decade

@thomasfuchs I know people were afraid of 'The Algorithm' last year, but the problem with social algorithms is almost always that how it works is kept hidden, but that wouldn't be the case in mastodon
