    I always wondered who was in charge of this thing.

    @silverwizard Finish Mando, skip Boba Fett and Kenobi, then go straight to Andor.

    Andor is the best Star Wars. Boba Fett sucks, Kenobi is all fan service. The Mandalorian is cool, and certainly cuter than Andor, but Andor better on every single other measure.

    Well, I'm glad Andor brought politics back to Star Wars. It's been a bit light on politics lately. Andor is refreshing.

    @silverwizard
    It's not just about the cop. I can totally understand hiring him if he's got the skills they want. The issue is firstly how they present him ("look at all this cool privacy-invasive spyware you can make") and secondly how they respond to questions from the community ("bye bye" *block*).

    And then claiming it's about pigs in a blanket without a content warning. It's a completely surreal level of denial. I don't understand how anyone can double down on a relatively minor mistake in such a totally destructive manner.

    It's bizarre that someone in charge of marketing can be so unbelievably tone deaf and unaware of their customers. Either she, or someone, is intentionally trying to damage Raspberry Pi's brand (like Elon with Twitter?), or they just got a massive deal with a surveillance company and a requirement for the deal was to get rid of all their privacy-conscious customers.

    @hypolite I'm still wondering why you think bringing a backpack would imply living on your own, while using a plastic bag doesn't.

    @hypolite That's a great idea. Also, if the shop is nearby, you can easily go multiple times per week so you don't have to do a week's groceries at once. I sometimes walk, sometimes I take my cargo bike. And I've gotten pretty good at stacking ridiculous amounts of groceries in my arms so I can just carry it to my bike without even using a bag. But I admit that's a bit weird.

    (deleted my first attempt to comment because it wasn't in response to your comment)

    @hypolite If you need more than a backpack, you also need more than a plastic bag. Being a couple of bags and stack them in your bike's crate.

    @hypolite Can't you bring a backpack if you don't live on your own?

    @hypolite I'll have a look at it. But don't expect quick results from me; I also have a paid job for stuff like this.

    @hypolite Thank me when I've got a PR ready. There's absolutely no guarantee I'll actually get that far.

    By the way, you do have js front-end code, so that's something I should be able to pick up. Also, I'm generally at my best dealing with complex interactions, front-backend interaction, algorithms, data structures, that sort of stuff. (And refactoring tech debt and complex code into something more readable, but maybe that's not the best place to start an unfamiliar language.) I'm terrible at infra, configurations, and fancy CSS. Just in case you have an issue that would be a good fit for that. But I don't mind picking up something else.

    I don't have much experience with PHP (I did it for 3 days in 2009, I think), and I'm currently a bit busy, but I might try to tackle some fairly language-independent issues over the Christmas break, if you have any.

    @waggers5 @sean Diaspora is not part of the fediverse. It doesn't use ActivityPub (the fediverse protocol) but has its own protocol. Friendica and Hubzilla can work with both.
