Hmm who knows maybe Pleroma and all associated programs will magically fix itself. Else it was interesting to try this SNS stuff out and know about it more.
Mail on I2P is isolated unless extra configuration is done by server operators. Excluding advanced configuration and development of custom plugins for mail daemon of course.
As much as I hate advertising, what good is a guide or manual that is not read?
I wonder if I will record my real voice since subbing would be a pain in the ass...

edshot99As for my review of SNS. Well it was everything I knew and expected, content wise. Interface wise, the only thing I find annoying is clicking expand on a "thread" and it loading a shit ton of messages. Not only is it a pain to scroll out of I also see no reason to reply because 99% of the time it is so long that you don't know if someone already said what you were going to say.
Also annoying to have to use Chromium to even access this page since it doesn't work in my browsers. I know TechnicalSuwako hard at work to fix this, but who knows if i'll keep using SNS at that point.
Oh well. At least my worry of having to run my own SNS is over since even though SNS is the most popular 'platform' for discussion in the 'open public' most of peoples posts are going to be junk nonsense. If I continue to use SNS I will just use 076 because I don't want PHP on my system. If other people want SNS I shall tell them to find a server on "Fediverse".
I had initial concerns with servers since it is like Steam Server Browser on games where you have so much in your face you don't know which one to choose. Go in one find its crap, go in another find its crap etc.
Another concern would be "hiveminds" and "left-right" thinking, but I am not so concerned anymore. If someone else finds a problem with a server they should find another, not my problem anymore and not worth my time when SNS is not 'that' important compared to XMPP one on one or group chat.

edshot99I also throw my Monero Node in the trash since that depended on Linux. I suppose I should just finish my damn Monero port, but I can't be bothered to do extensive testing to find what network code is broken that causes 1000%cpu usage. Doesn't help every OpenBSD issue on github is typically a dead end that lingers around.
Eh, at least cli and gui work on 7.1 so if I ever need it in the future i'll just fix the port enough to finish linking and packaging. As for my "users" for Monero Remote Node I shall say 'run your own. sorry!' since I also do not wish to have people rely on something they can download themselves (30gb blockchain min).
I mean, its not like I know anyone who really cares or listens to my ramblings about money anyways but that is a different story.
I originally did intend to run these servers as long as I could, but changed my mind after seeing how steam+"noSteam" combination was a no go. Besides its nice to not manage a Linux server.
I still intend to keep the gaming project around except take it in a different direction. A LAN only direction. Why LAN? Because I hate Steam client update and playing online sucks anyways with every admin having a stick up their ass.
Besides, its quite nice to copy and paste game to have people join your LAN server. In addition I do not mind using Steam (except client) and most group releases are shit and prefer my own "releases".
Maybe it just offline like before, but even when online everyone busy anyways so its always empty. Same for my bootleg kohaku so I say goodbye to it to. It was quite an experience programming bootleg kohaku and related servers i'll say!
@ryo ...and kid who cried to mother "please I don't want to go to school, I fear the school shootings!" get sent to school only to get shot in the head n die while police stand around. Idiot child huh?
I do have a Samsung phone with Replicant. Replicant is quite easy to install. Easy as in commands only, nothing else. Replicant is quite ideal in that it attempts to build on GNU/Linux-Libre machines and to strip all the crap from AOSP such as firmware blobs. One fatal flaw is that there is only one person working on the project. Well realistically zero people now. It also lags behind versions and is very slow GPU wise due to missing firmware. The GPU is so slow that I rather deal with PinePhone crashing all the time. It was planned to use a newer feature in 4.x or 5.x kernel to boost GPU speed, but as I said, no developers working on it.
Then of course my regular phone, PinePhone, and other HTC phone. However I am limited to HTC and PinePhone since carriers have started their push forward with 4G/5G/VoLTE so 3G works half the time.
Perhaps I should stop fighting the lost cause battle of phones and chuck then into the ocean...
Yes. Samsung and others will be more easier than the HTC. But in my case I never used or had Samsung phones which is why, in my experience, HTC was easier and better. My fault to fail to mention that.
The only other phones I had pretty much brick itself once it sees any partition tampered with. Phones were LG and Alcatel.
@ryo@digdeeper@udon Old Samsung don't need unlock and can be flashed with heimdall. As with new Samsung I don't know. I think it is the same except that your trip the security system so you get a "this phone is no longer secure" warning or something like that.
@ryo@digdeeper@udon Hmm. I never had hardware problems with PinePhone except the SIM card slot where the pins are easy to snag and bend. Got lucky that it didn't snap.
Easiest phone to unlock would be HTC, but there is a catch. You must create a HTC dev account and use their online service to grab the OEM token from you phone to upload it and then receive a unlock key. Even with this easy process and HTC kernel source code, there isn't much interest to support custom Android for HTC. I don't know if HTC still makes phones still.
...and all the bankers went to jail! The end! On a serious note, a well done movie. Might not want to see this clip if you wish to watch the entire thing.
@ryo@digdeeper God damn is that bug annoying! ...please excuse prior post.
>Pixel phone Using a Google phone? C'mon man!
>PinePhone Not worth it! Phosh drains the battery due to poor programming language choices. KDE is more efficient and 'polished', but crashes a lot. Ignoring the crashes, Gajim isn't really usable, Dino can't click those gtk dialogs or open files, and Kaidan is one on one only.
So, PinePhone was something I tried that didn't work out so well.
The only other device I can think of that comes with propaganda out of box are Windows 10 machines. Typically on the lock screen it'll have random text bubbles with things like "support your local BLM community" or "this beautiful beach will cease to exist because of climate change".
I have read online that some UNIX operating systems include a vax(?) manual page that give you tips on the best way to inject yourself with a virus.
Samsung ships a nifty little app to teach you how we must save the world by 2030 by following these lovely goals. You can read more about these goals and give UN/NATO your money to fund these goals! Don't have money? No problem! Watch ads to fund the goal!
I feel the https://stopsdgs.076.moe web page is too bare bone and less informative. I think TechnicalSuwako should just use the same text and provide real life examples and evidence.
One real life example I can give is that I have received a letter that my city plans to replace all water meters with "smart" water meters. Obviously a push to be able to monitor everyone's water usage and mark who is using "too" much and shut off their water. Should've probably kept that letter...
