😨I use Pika for my weekly (incremental) backup since some weeks (coming from Vorta). What does „fail after a while“ mean? Weeks? Month? Years? Just that I can have my eyes open.

BTW: Vorta was ok before for a longer time. Changed to Pika just for convenience; Vorta is more complex to setup.

@OrionKidder oh. So, the whole external disk is broken? That‘s bad.

Then I have to think about the concept - I do the backup on only 1 HDD.

Till now I have not observed an external drive being killed.

Die neue Version von #Xfce kommt mit #Wayland-Unterstützung in #ArchLinux. Ich habe das mal installiert. Beim Einloggen mittels GDM kann man zwischen X oder Wayland wählen.

Xfce/X funktioniert natürlich.

Bei Xfce/Wayland lande ich sofort wieder in GDM … weil der Fenstermanager noch kein Wayland kann. Es braucht noch #labwc oder #wayfire dazu.

Mit labwc startet Xfce dann. Aber fertig ist Xfce/Wayland noch nicht. Einige Dinge tuen leider noch nicht.

Muss ich wohl noch warten. Schade.

Blöde Frage vom Physiker: strahlen LEDs (gelb, rot oder grün) überhaupt UV-Licht ab? (Bei blau könnte ich mir das noch am ehesten vorstellen).

Bei Gelblicht nehme ich an, dass es um SW-Fotografie geht. Ich würde das einfach mal mit einen Stück Fotopapier im Entwickler probieren.

On Atari ST? Possible?

Later replaced by Turbo C - because new, better, the thing to have.

Then latter even on ST it was possible to use gcc (legally).

@pascaldragon oh nice. But this Atari is not existing anymore, unfortunately.

But all this ended at FPC and Lazarus (on Linux). So, life is a cycle. 😀
