We at @effi have been using CryptPad self hosted for years. The functionalities fulfill our needs as does high level of data security.

The only nuisance has been use with Firefox-based browsers: apparenty in the case of HC nerd users (like us) who don't boot their OS (because there's really no need for that using GNU/Linux as often as with the M$ OS) and have also the browser on for months, there seems to be something left or stuck that occasionally leaves login to CryptPad to wait forever.

But hey - it is a good reason for closing your browser every month or so. :P

CryptPad is the only really secure groupwork sw I am aware of. I recommend it and that is quite a lot from a critical motormouth like me. :P

@killyourfm You're better of with LSD cells. That means Low Self Discharge. :)

Buy for example Panasonic Eneloop NiMh cells and a charger and rock on...

@aral Well... last night I bounced into three separate bugs when I tried to create a self hosted backup environment for Seedvault used in LineageOS et al when using webdav share with Davx5.

Now I found that also TrueNAS that I use in my NAS has a bug: it changes the ownership of whole filesystem to user webdav. Not only recursively from the directory used as the mount point of the share but the whole file system. :D

It took me 20 years to understand that the hero lawyers of US tv series and movies who remember a huge amount of court cases is not just about remembering being fancy but it is the very nature of common law system. There is no other law in many cases.

It was a shock for me as in German tradition that Finland has also followed, legislation is thematic and the laws are possible for a layman to understand.

Especially in the US the principle of minimizing state of the founders has lead to a very undemocratic and dysfunctional legal structure. It is far too costly, complicated and fuzzy.

@aral Yes - although I don't check the possible significances of every single acronym I use, especially on foreign languages.

Are you aware of any proof this would be done on purpose? If so, these dudes and gals probably drive a Mitsubishi Pajero, pajero understood as in Spanish. :/
