@drewdevault I’ve been sad for quite a few years about being unable to find a romantic partner. I have looked for advice in many places and a lot of it seems to contradict each other. One of the main issues I’m unsure about is how to reconcile the need to actively talk to and ask out women with their right to not receive unwanted male attention.

Re treating everyone the same: I've always tried my best to do that. I believe that gender neutrality should be the default. But there are situations where treating women the same as men would be inappropriate, such as compliments or sexual jokes. And thinking about it, isn”t it precisely the equal treatment that naturally leads to having women only as friends?
